Moneylion refused to refund me after allowing $2200 of unauthorized and item never recifved transactionns

I experienced fraud on my MoneyLion account, but Pathward, who are partners with MoneyLion, are supposed to be investigating. I had a $1,000 transaction that supposedly took place at Walmart on either June 8th or June 10th.

Their statements mention one date, but the Advocacy Department gave me another. Regardless, I didn't make that transaction. The card was supposed to have been closed, because an hour before that transaction was made, there was an attempt at a Bank of America ATM. The Bank of America ATM declined the card and shut it down, recognizing it as fraud.

Yet, Pathward/MoneyLion did not close the card as they were supposed to. They allowed the same transaction to be made at a Walmart 1 hour later and they keep denying the dispute. They refuse to comment on the fact that Bank of America sent a notification to shut the card down due to too many attempts using the wrong pin number. An hour or two later, the same transaction was made after my card was supposedly closed.

This was an unauthorized transaction and the Advocacy Department refuses to refund me. They also won't allow me to file disputes for packages that I purchased but did not receive. They filed these disputes as unauthorized transactions and refuse to allow me to dispute them, even though they are in the wrong. I did not receive these items.

They even sent a check worth $347 to the wrong address. Pathward/MoneyLion said it would take 4-8 weeks to investigate, despite acknowledging that they sent the check to the wrong address. They refuse to refund me for this check that I didn't receive. All in all, they owe me.

I have provided information that should result in them crediting me. This includes the Bank of America decline, which shut down my card, but they reopened the card and allowed the same transaction that BoA had declined. These items they would not allow me to dispute were not received, even after I filed a police report. They owe me $2,200 in total.

Here are the transactions: On 6/7, an item worth $63.11 was not received. On 6/7, another item worth $87.44 was not received. On 6/9, an item worth $43.60 was not received. On 6/8, an item worth $38.51 was not received.

On 6/6, a transaction worth $303 was unauthorized. Finally, on 6/9, an item worth $47.65 was not received.

Write to your states attorney General and go through the process.They did the same to me however my attorney General forwarded my email to the CIA which forwarded it to the department that handles on line fraud

I am filing a dispute with all three credit bureaus and the Better Business Bureau. I have contacted MoneyLion multiple times regarding their failure to report timely to my FICO and Vantage credit.

They have not reported since April for all three. I paid off this loan and they have not reported this.

It was last reported late in April. They have failed to do their part.

I was so heartbroken when I noticed I wasn't able to move my assets from the company, I lost so much and was really devastated, I had to seek help until I was directed to Mrs Olivia Trader and his Recovery company and Foundation that helped me to recover all the money I had lost. I have over $500 in my account that MoneyLion has locked me out of since July 31, 2024. I've submitted all documents requested and initially they told me 3-5 days to "review"...

on day 4 they requested further documents and want an explanation of a charge I CAN'T SEE because they have LOCKED me out of account!

Customer advocate contacted me post a BBB review I left; but the phone number in her email is not a working number and when I finally get a human on the phone via ML's customer service line they literally repeat VERBATIM verbiage in email sent to me... SCAM!!!

Can get in my account

Money lion is not organized at all. All they had to do is upgrade my email so I can get into my account but instead they want me to upload my ID and selfie every time I call them and wait 3-5days and this has been going on since 2023.I have uploaded my ID at least 10times.

And my account still is closed and I can't log in . Can't get any one in a higher department to help me. And on top of that I paid for the Wow roar and I had not even had a chance to get in the account so I feel like that they just took my money.

But everyday they are sending me emails for promotion and what's the use Right now I have to give money lion a0for stars. Until they fix my account as just upgrading my email address that is all I will give them more stars.

Locked out of account although I haven't done anything wrong. Even after providing all required documentation 3 times, they are refusing to unlock the account.

It coincidentally locked 6 hours before my first direct deposit hit the account. Due to this I now have no access to own money. They've provided no explanation besides "fraudulent activity" yet can't disclose what activity was fraudulent.

They made 0 effort to resolve the issues and instead continously repeated themselves about why they can't do anything to help. Stay far far away from this company!!

Horrible company

First, they have zero customer service. I called several of their numbers, and each one was an automated line.

I sent them an email, and it took them four days for them to respond with some generic line of bs, which did not help solve my problems.

Their system refuses to accept my residential address.

I have used a P.O. Box as my legal mailing address for 25 years, and they refuse to accept it as a legal address, that I pay a lot of money for. They also refuse to accept my residential address, even though it is the address on file with my bank. I tried entering a former residential address, and their system will not take that, neither.

Note that I do not have this problem with anyone else or anything else - they are the only ones!

They have my banking information.

What else do they need?

I have had nothing but adverse issues and adverse experiences with this company. Not someone I would recommend anyone do business with.

If you are homeless and already have a bank, why do you need a financial technology company? They are very strict with their requirements.

I fail to see what one has to do with the other. Again, this company has no live agents, very poor customer service, discriminates against homeless people.

That was supposed to be listed as a con not a pro. There are no pros.

To reiterate: I do not have these issues with anyone else or anything else. Just them.

How do you know what their criteria is. And why do you care. As far as homelessness is concerned, discriminating against someone due to homelessness goes against federal human rights statutes, and can get you sued, with the plaintiff easily winning.

Starting 2024 to crack down on fraud and money laundering, the IRS implemented new rules for all the cash apps that receive and pay out money. For this tax year, if you receive money above a certain dollar threshold or above a minimum number of deposits the app(Money Lion) must issue you a 1099 tax form at end of year to be treated as income. To comply, the app requires very detailed info on each subscriber to verify identity and location since they MAY be mailing a tax form.

The issues I am having occurred in 2023. Again, I do not have these problems with any other merchant.

Only you. In order to open a bank account, you need a verifiable SSN, a verifiable address, and a verifiable government photo ID. I have had an account with Chase for over 20 years. All correspondence from Chase is sent to my PO Box, and they have never contested or questioned such.

Nobody is committing fraud and nobody is laundering money. And if they are, it certainly is not through Money Lion. As far as tax forms are concerned, the people who use Money Lion do not borrow large enough sums of money to warrant tax forms to be sent to them, or for taxes to be paid on the amounts. I pay a lot of money for my post office box, which has been my legal mailing address for 25 years.

I have the right to choose not to receive mail at my place of residence, and I have the right to direct where I want my mail sent. Nobody is screwing your company over, and nobody is refusing to pay back money borrowed.

And all of my IRS correspondence has always gone to my PO Box as well. Again, they have never contested or questioned such. You are the only business entity I have this problem with.

OK, so I am a disabled veteran. Before I had gotten my pension, I had struggled to make ends meet sometimes.

That being said, I had gotten a hold of MoneyLion and a couple of businesses that were similar, and I just ended up, keeping them even once I got financially stable because occasionally I will still need to borrow a few dollars. That being said, Ive been using MoneyLion for at least five years now. They only seem to have gotten worse. I cant tell you how many times Ive been hung up on laughed at put on hold or mute while the customer service member has another conversation.

They treat you like youre complete idiot. Anyways, I finally decided to switch my Social Security benefits over to MoneyLion as they kept on sending me promotional emails and notifications for about six months offering to up my Insta cash and I would immediately get an extra hundred dollars for signing up for direct deposit While waiting for my direct deposit to hit the MoneyLion bank. Well, its now about four months later, and after numerous calls there, theyve been disputing everything. I still received notifications and emails just until a couple of days ago when I got note that the promotion had ended lol But they would find every single excuse to tell me that didnt qualify for the money!

Now, this month is the first time Ive ever been late on a bill and Ill be honest they usually allow me at least $700 plus in Insta cash also, isnt it funny how when you are borrowing money, you get charged the turbo fees plus they try to get you to give them a tip three different times? Theyre completely ripping everyone off! Anyways, this last time that I called, they said that I didnt qualify simply because I hadnt paid my bill yet lol I told them to look back four or five years and Ive never been late. I told them specifically that I hadnt paid it because They hadnt paid me.

You cant advertise a certain price for a car in the dealership window and then when the customer comes in, charge them a completely different price! False advertisement 100% and if they record the telephone calls, then they surely have absolutely well every conversation! Theyve asked me for screenshots which I sent numerous times Ive sent them everything that they wanted, and they would always try to find a reason to not give me anything they didnt own up to anything that they promised! In fact, I get my Social Security check now three days later than I did with my last bank!

Yes, three days later! This is absolutely ridiculous. All that they do is rob people blind. And then they try to make you feel absolutely stupid.

And I dont care Ill be honest, the only time that I ever seem to actually get legitimate help was when the customer service agent was American. And normally, I would be hesitant about making a comment like that, but Ive had so many bad experiences with this place, and with the foreign employees that Im speaking freely and openly! Because its true! When I mention that I am a disabled combat veteran, and they literally laugh at me?

Yeah.

Definitely not a bank. I want to deal with.

I took out a credit builder loan for $1000. $225 was immediately available to me and the remaining $775 was held in a credit reserve account until the loan was paid off, upon which would be immediately transferred to an account that I could withdraw the money from.

I paid the loan off November 23 however the money was not immediately transferred to my account and still has not been transferred as of today, November 29. . I have been in contact with MoneyLion reps every day.

I was first told it would take 1 business day, then 2 business days, and now they are telling me it will be another 3 to 5 business days. They have received their money from me but are refusing to give me the remaining $775 that I am entitled to.
